Brookside Campground ( www.campbrookside.com ) 507-583-2979 South of Blooming Prairie 3 miles and East on County road "1" or 320th street about 1 mile 3 miles south of Blooming Prairie which is 15 miles south of Owatonna on Hwy 218 CLICK HERE for printable MAPS to the CAMPGROUND The cost is 2.50 per person for a "day pass" to the campground and register at the office. Camp sites are available. From the North take 35W South to Owatonna and then Hwy 14 East - Rochester. As you leave Owatonna on Hwy 14 and approach the overpass take the exit for 218 and you will turn right at the stop sign at the bottom of the ramp onto 218 South. From Rochester take Hwy 14 West to Owatonna and exit off Hwy 14 and turn left onto 218. Stay on 218 until you pass through Blooming Prairie and after another three miles take the County road 1 exit East (left) 1 mile and the campground will be on the left just after the bridge over Cedar river. Just about any map you search will get you there as will a Delorme.   John

Meeting Report The Southern meeting was held on July 12th 2008. 1-3pm at the  Kasson American Legion, 10 people attended and 8 of them went out to the Zumbro River to try out some equipment. Gold was found within a few minutes see the photos below for more detail.  A good time was had by all and that's what it's all about ! John
