The first Hinckley meeting was held on August 16th @ 3pm at the Brown Pavilion at West Side Park in Hinckley, MN.  Five prospectors showed up and we got right into working some material that John Wilkus brought from a gravel pit in the south.  This material contained a lot of fine gold.  We also spent some time getting to know each other and discussing our experiences. Future outings may include two different gravel pits.  I am working on this now. Our next meeting will be held on September 20th @ 3pm at the West Side Park, Brown Pavilion. Everyone is invited to come.  Be sure to bring your pans and other gear as I almost have it set in stone (pun intended) that we will go to the quarry on Highway 48 I just need the final OK.
