Central MN meeting 7/27/2008 Hey Central MN Prospectors! August is upon us. This Saturday will be our meeting. I have changed the location to my house, same time ( 11:00 am). We will have a short meeting, then go down to the creek and try to find some yellow stuff. Pans only, no sluice boxes, etc. Bring or wear long pants advisable (I have some hybrid poison ivy in my back woods) hip boots, knee boots, or old tennis shoes will do. Also, bring insect repellant. Bring pans, classifiers (nothing larger than ¼ inch is needed), and shovels. As far as the meeting end time, it will be whenever we’re done. The Stearns County Fair will be going on that weekend, so you may want to go to the fair after the meeting. Go to stearnscountyfair.com to see what events will be going that afternoon.
